#CuffD | Air Jordan 1 Hi Retro 'Turbo Green'
Okay, so, it's been a few light years, I know, but we're back at it now. For real-for real. And, what a way to come back than to showcase another #Cuff'D post.
This time around, I actually got lucky and was able to snag something that not only was on my radar, but something that was exclusive & one that is somewhat limited. Releasing back on NBA All-Star Weekend in February, this sneaker is one that JB (that's Jordan Brand, y'all) did a great job on in creating.
With the popularity and sudden hype of this model that isn't seeming to slow down, it's no question that these are on many's list of one of, if not the best Air Jordan release of 2019. I give to you, the Air Jordan 1 Hi Retro 'Turbo Green'.
This was one that, as much as I wanted, I felt that I wouldn't be able to cop it, but with some research & the right timing I was able to snag these from the good folks at StockX, for just a few dollars over retail! Oh, yeah, it's also #BigFootCertified coming in at a SIZE 15!!!
This AJ1 is just so beautiful. From the high top build, which I prefer on the AJ1, to the material usage and the colorway, it's just superb. The panels are covered with suede in that 'turbo Green' color, including the Swoosh, around the toe, the eyestays and the panels going around the back of the shoe. Underneath lies a very soft white tumbled leather that is a very good grade, and is far from a generic, factory-line leather. The touches that add to this shoe include a mesh tongue, which is deconstructed, to give an unfinished yet complete feel, as the lining around the tongue is intentionally unfinished. The NIKE AIR tag is fitted with purple & yellow to tie in that classic Hornets colorway, and to finish it off, an off-white or sail colored 'Wings' logo and midsole, followed by a turbo green outsole.
This shoe is something that you need to experience in hand. So, if you're still searching for it, try the good folks at StockX, or just check the resell market. And maybe you'll find it for retail or not much above like I did, if you're not into dropping stacks on the daily for kicks. (I'm working on that)
Check the shots after the jump.
