The adidas Pure BOOST

Three Stripes aka adidas has held it down for the past 3 years, attracting people from all walks of life, from athletes to avid runners, to lifestyle-ers & even your sneakerheads and hypebeasts. Much of that credit belongs to the Ultra Boost & NMD models from the Trefoil. But now, adidas is evolving to a new model in running footwear, yet, sticking with the same winning techniques that 'brought them to the dance' per say by introducing the adidas Pure BOOST.

Taking a few minor, yet clearly visible cues from other adidas models, namely the Ultra Boost and the Tubular Shadow (or as ya'll call it, the 'poor man Yeezys'), the Pure BOOST is the shoe that's pretty much 'by runners, for runners'.

Sitting atop an 8mm BOOST midsole with an updated wider forefoot, including perforated 'pods' on the sides of the heel cup, this shoe provides additional support no matter what terrain you're exploring, be it in the city, or in the fields. There is also a completely knit upper, though it's been said that this isn't exactly the Primeknit that we all have come to know & love, yet it still provides a sock-like feel with its construction. It also has a double wrapped tongue, similar to the Tubular Shadow, allowing for natural parallel motion capability for the foot and the knit material.

Look for two versions, a black & white, along with a mostly black model to drop on January 24th for $140 MSRP on adidas.com. There will also be more colorways set to drop in February as well, so be on the lookout. Enjoy the beauty shots below:

Could the Pure BOOST pick up where the Ultra Boost leaves off, if ever the UB 'passes the torch'? Comment below & leave your thoughts.
