Right along the heels of the re-release of the original NMD R1, Three Stripes is already prepping up the next model to take its place as the staple silhouette for the Trefoil. This particular model, however, is one that has been around for decades, but was never looked at as a streetwear, lifestyle sneaker. It was more used for whatever its purpose was, more on the performance side of the sneaker spectrum. But, with the new additions that it's getting, you can expect this to probably create as much pandemonium as the NMD or Ultra Boost, the adidas EQT 93/17 Boost.

Standing for 'Equipment', the EQT line from adidas usually pertained to what particular benefit the sneaker gave, whether it was performance when it came to training, or support when it came to durability during strenuous activities, it was never looked at as a fashion shoe. Recently, though, Three Stripes has evolved the shoe in various versions, bringing it to the masses to get people in tune to the shoe and to also get people prepared for the shoe being a mainstay for awhile. From Primeknit uppers, to having a great collaboration with rapper Pusha T, the EQT was long overdue for its rightful place among the line. The first model, a tribute to the classic line, sports contemporary upgrades, including a totally rebuilt upper, constructed in Primeknit, with a molded BOOST cushioning unit. Tying in the EQT line in 2017 will be that hit of hot pink located at the back heel, as a symbol to unify all further releases.

Look for this model to release on January 26th, the day after my birthday (HINT, HINT), and stay tuned for more EQT updates & releases as they come. For now, enjoy the beauty shots below, courtesy of adidas:
