Well, looks like Tinker & them are preparing to stake their claim as top dawg in the sneaker industry. After an amazing 2016 from the all sneaker brands, Jordan Brand included, they aren't planning to slow down any as we are already gearing up for some major releases this First Quarter.
Alongside other retros & a possible OVO drop, Jordan Brand is introducing yet another themed collection, something they are known quite well for. Presenting the Take Flight collection.
Pretty much tying in the moniker for Air Jordan, which is simply "FLIGHT", JB looks to release several products all taking on that theme, which is inspired by fighter jets.
First up, the Air Jordan V (5). Probably the most fighter jet inspired sneaker from the Jordan brand, this model is shown dressed up to resemble a bomber jacket and has a more premium, yet subtle appearance...stealth, if you will. Covered in premium Sequoia and Vachetta Tan leathers, with hints of Metallic Gold, this AJ5 boldly takes a spin on a much known classic sneaker...even doing away with the usual lace locks, replaced by a leather patch-like lace holder, with 'Flight' stitched on the middle in gold. There is also a removal of the side net cages and instead of a read Jumpman logo stitched, the logo is embossed in the leather for a smooth and continuous feel and flow tying the shoe altogether quite well.

Look for this premium sneaker to drop in February, with a price point at probably anywhere from $190 to $200 and some change. Also expect a Jordan 15 and a Jordan 8 to follow suit in this Take Flight series and most likely some apparel to go along. Check more pics below.
